3 New Leaders Strengthen Vantiva’s Vision and Future Roadmap

Vantiva, formerly known as Technicolor, announced three key leadership appointments designed to fuel investment and leverage innovation across the company’s core areas of expertise.

Luis Martinez-Amago, Vantiva CEO“As we look to the future, we are taking concrete steps to significantly enhance the way we serve the connected home market by leveraging data while also expanding into the enterprise through specialized Internet of Things (IoT) for vertical markets,” said Luis Martinez-Amago, CEO of Vantiva. “Adding these new team members will help expedite this market expansion over the next five years. In today’s hyperconnected world, network access solutions have never been more essential given the accelerated transition to a gigabit economy fueled by the growth of the IoT and fiber-based networks.

The three newly named leaders serve on the executive committee, reporting to the CEO, and include Jean Ferré, Chief Innovation, Marketing & Strategy Officer; Leopold Diouf, Senior Vice President of the Product Division; and Reza Raji, Senior Vice President of the IoT Division.

 


Jean Ferre, Chief Innovation Marketing Strategy OfficerIn his senior role as Chief Innovation, Marketing & Strategy Officer, Mr. Ferré supports Vantiva’s next phase vision for innovation and technology. He supports the strategy of exploring new services that leverage Vantiva expertise and create go-to-market plans for these strategic new initiatives, including customer premises equipment (CPE) for smart homes.

Prior to joining Vantiva, Jean Ferré was COO at Quandela, a start-up developing a Quantum Computer. He previously served as the Executive Vice-President of SBU Digital Services & CDO at IN Groupe, and as Managing Director of the Airspace Mobility Solutions Business Line at Thales, overseeing R&D and manufacturing sites across China, India, US, Australia and Europe. An engineer by training, he started his career in consulting, then cable TV in Argentina, then as CEO co-founder of two software companies, Partner with the Boston Consulting Group and in the US where he held leadership positions at Microsoft. He is based in Paris, France.


Leopold Diouf, Senior Vice President of the Product DivisionAs the global leader in customer premises equipment (CPE) solutions that are the center of high-speed broadband Internet service delivery to the home, Vantiva is uniquely positioned to develop and co-create new products and services with network service providers (NSPs) that are based on unique data-driven insight and AI solutions. Mr. Diouf, based in Atlanta, has been brought on as Senior Vice President of the Product Division to drive this promising area of business.

Prior to joining Vantiva, he worked at Nokia as Senior Vice President and General Manager of the Nokia Fixed Networks Broadband Devices Business Unit, combining Nokia fiber CPEs, FWA CPEs, Wi-Fi gateways and meshed extenders, and Cloud management of Wi-Fi in the home. Mr. Diouf has over 30 years of experience in the telecom industry and has overseen the entire evolution of fiber from a broadband standpoint, leading teams in the US, China, and Europe. As one of the foremost experts in the fiber-to-home industry, Mr. Diouf helped develop the first GPON standards and worked on the world’s first FTTH operators around the world. Mr. Diouf is based in Atlanta, Georgia.


Reza Raji, Head of IoTVantiva is simultaneously leveraging this expertise in smart home broadband experiences to address the growing demand for IoT-enabled enterprise digital transformations across strategic, growing vertical markets. The rapid growth of IoT solutions is helping industries and businesses elevate safety, improve efficiency, generate new revenue streams and create entirely new experiences for all stakeholders involved. Mr. Raji, as the Senior Vice President of the newly formed IoT Division, leverages his breadth of experience in the industry to develop Vantiva’s new IoT offerings and bring them to market.

Prior to joining Vantiva, he was the Chief Business Development Officer at Brilliant, delivering a unifying consumer platform for the complex smart home market. Earlier he was the CEO of Xenio Systems, an IoT and AI company focused on merging online and physical retail. Mr. Raji is the founder and former CEO of iControl Networks, the most widely deployed connected home platform in the industry, which was acquired by Comcast in His early work at Echelon in the late 90s in marrying sensors and devices to the Internet laid the groundwork for not only iControl but also many other IoT and cloud-based products and businesses. He started his career at IBM. He holds 42+ patents and is based in the San Francisco Bay Area.
